Have I finished? Ai-je terminé?
Regarding my last attempt (last rays of fall), I wonder if I have really finished or not. See below the area where there could be some improvement ...
1 - I don't really like the foreground. I work wet on wet and mix the paint on the canvas. My first strokes were better than that IMO ans the more I played with it, the messier it became.
2 - There is no clear difference in value and color between the fence and the background.
3 - No continuity between what appear below and above the fence here. Looks like we are not looking at the same background ...
4 - I don't like that tree. Need rework.
At this time, I just wonder if I should only consider this one as an exercice and go on with another attempt OR try to improve it ... Don't want to overwork (not my style anyway).
I'm also telling myself that the composition is not the best here. The fence leads the eye out to the left of the painting. The tree at the left served as a stopper and tries to bring back the eye to the upper center. Not sure it works ...
Relativement à ma dernière tentative, je ne sais toujours pas si j'ai terminé ou non. Il y a quelques zones avec lesquelles je ne suis pas tout à fait à l'aise ...
1) L'avant-plan devrait être retravaillé. Je travaille normalement "wet on wet" et je mélange les couleurs sur le panneau. Mes premiers coup de couteaux étaient meilleurs à mon avis ...
2) La barreau de la côture et le fond se confondent ...
3) On dirait que le fond que l'on retrouve au dessus et en dessous du barreau de la clôture ne sont pas les mêmes ...
4) Je n'aime pas l'arbre à gauche et il devrait être refait ...
Peut-être devrais-je simplement passer à une autre tentative?
Je me dis également que la composition laisse à désirer. La clôture amène l'oeil à l'extérieur gauche de la peinture. L'arbre à gauche devrait agir comme "stopper" et ramener l'oeil vers le centre-haut. Pas certain que ça fonctionne ...
